An Art Night Party with a Tasty Cauliflower Chicken Pizza Recipe

An Art Night Party with a Tasty Cauliflower Chicken Pizza Recipe
We recently moved into a new house, and keeping up with all of the repairs and new-to-you house maintenance has kept us from hanging up all our art.
Art makes such a big difference for bare walls, even if they're painted - a fact I can attest to now that we've finally got ours up! We decided to throw an 'art night' dinner party and make it a whole occasion, and you can do the same even if you aren't moving into new digs.

3 Art Night Parties Themes You Can Try

No matter what your situation, here are three art night dinner party concepts you can try.
  • Art Swap: Set aside a large empty table or area where art pieces can be displayed. Encourage guests to bring art pieces they no longer want, and for each piece they bring, they can take home a new piece (similar to our wine swap party idea - heck, combine the two!).
  • Art Hanging: If you're moving into a new place, invite friends over to help you hang your art. Use caution in case you have argumentative friends - and just remember, you can change it the next day.
  • Art Creation: Get your hands dinner with a dinner that includes creating art. You could create vision boards, host a watercolor painting class, or just throw a coloring party if you want something with less mess.
With all that creativity flowing (and hopefully adult libations also flowing), you'll need some nice edibles to pair with your art. We've got just the thing with this creatively curious flatbread pizza, using one of my favorites, Stonefire Artisan Flat Bread Pizza Crust. It's a touch spicy, and something you won't see at your typical pizza parlor.

Spicy Cauliflower Chicken Pizza

Ingredients:
For the spiced cauliflower
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoons curry power
  • 1/2 head cauliflower, cut into florets
    --
  • 1 chicken breast, sliced thin
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoons curry power
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
    --
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1 Stonefire Flatbread Artisan Pizza Crust

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 400F.
Combine 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp garam masala, 1 tbsp curry powder and cauliflower.
Roast cauliflower for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, saute chicken over medium heat with olive oil, butter, curry, garam masala, salt & pepper, cayenne pepper, and granulated garlic. Continue to heat until chicken is cooked through.
Remove chicken and (in the same pan) mix in tomato paste and heavy cream. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
To prepare pizza, place flatbread on baking stone or sheet. Spread half of your tomato sauce on the flatbread, and toss chicken in the other half. Then add chicken, cauliflower, peas, and parmesean cheese onto pizza frust.
Bake at 400F for approx 25 minutes. Allow to cool for a few minutes then serve. Great wines with this pizza would be a Pinot Gris, Malbec, or Bordeaux-style blend.

Big thanks to Stonefire Authentic Flatbreads for providing samples of their new artisan crust.
