This was my first year purchasing this, and I really enjoyed it. What I liked most was the surprise element. Many retailers make it very obvious what teas will be in their calendars (and I can appreciate that some people need to know what they're drinking), but I wanted to be completely surprised so I liked the elements that ensured that. It was fun to open up each package, smell it to try to guess, brew my cup, and then look at what it was after tasting.
Almost all of my favorite blends were green teas - I don't tend to gravitate toward greens and this made me think I should reevaluate that. It was neat to try teas that have flavor profiles I would be quick to disregard reading about online - some still didn't grab me taste-wise but I was still pleased regardless with the blends overall. The only one I definitely didn't enjoy was the coffee infused one - I drink tea because I dislike coffee ha. But the individually packaged portions made it easy to simply gift the second away to someone more appreciative.
I did order some of the teas when that opened up on Christmas, but at least one of them was on a clearance/to-be-discontinued sale. So if I'd have waited longer I'm not sure if it would have been available? And it's kinda hard to find these teas on the website. If they're exclusive blends you have to search for the 2024 advent calendar, not the individual teas; which makes shopping for them a bit clunky.
I saw a comment about hoping there could be tin-less options in the future, and I am intrigued by that. Year after year I'm not sure now many large tins like this I'd need to have, even though it is pretty!
