I thought it was rather bland on the first cup, but I have enjoyed it progressively. Could be that the spices mixed better as I scooped it out, and this morning thoroughly enjoyed my cup! I use the gingerbread latte flavor of Nut Pods with this.

This was the Christmas Day tea in the Advent 2024 Tea Calendar (Caffeinated) and Plum Deluxe saved the best for last! I like strong teas with "open" (not subtle) flavors and a little of snap to them and this fit the bill. I drank it hot with just a touch of white sugar; proceeded to drink all of the tea from that day and then turned around and ordered more while it was still available. I marked my calendar, starting around Thanksgiving to start looking for this tea again for the Holidays (hopefully this will be one PD brings back!)

This tea has a lot of flavors: the orange adds bitterness, the apple adds sweetness and the spices round out the cup. I'm not sure I've tasted a cup like this before. As far as tasting exactly like gingerbread, I don't think so. However, that does not mean it is a bad cup of tea. Just more orange flavored than I expected.

It has a light sweetness that is perfect.

The flavor is a deeper spice that’s cut nicely by the citrus. It was a lovely warming flavor to have on the cold day I first tried it. It almost reminds me of the deep clingy spicy sweetness of a good molasses cookie
