What’s your favorite Plum Deluxe blend, and why?
Everything is Okay, because I love to relax in the evening after work and read or color with a nice cup of tea! Everything is okay is caffeine free, and needs no sweetener so its perfect for late night drinking.
Do you have a tea-time recipe you can share with us?
I love iced tea recipe blends, and I make one that is earl grey iced tea, orange juice and raspberry syrup/purée!
I had this idea when Raspberry Earl Grey was the tea of the month. First, I make a big batch of iced tea, giving it plenty of time to cool. To make a glass, I add 6 oz. of iced tea, then add 4 oz. orange juice. For the raspberry, I use either two pumps of Raspberry Monin Syrup or if I have them, a handful of fresh raspberries, smashed with a fork and then squeezed through cheesecloth to hold back most of the seeds. The syrup makes a much sweeter version, but sometimes you don't want the added sugar!
We’d love to see photos of your favorite tea ware! And/or, tell us a story about a special piece.
My favorite item is a clear glass two cup tea pot that I got from Ikea of all places! It lets me see the brewing process and is also great for flowering teas!
Share a special tea memory or moment you’ve had.
I travel for work, and I always have tea bags or loose tea and an infuser with me wherever I go. One of my favorite memories is from Alaska last September while at a week long conference. I brewed some Oregon Breakfast Tea in the hotel room, and brought it with me in a travel thermos on a 3 mile hike!
If you were offered a free ride on the next space shuttle, would you go?
I would absolutely ride in the space shuttle given the chance! I'd bring the astronauts fresh produce and supplies, get to experience weightlessness, and see the earth from above! I'd also answer the question of "how do you brew tea in micro-g"? That might take some trial and error!
Thanks, Stephanie, we're so glad to have you in our tea community!
